  They where difficult, the car I had was being terminated because on the kilometres it had done and damages it already had , when I got got back to Brisbane the man was rude , as well tried to accuse me of a chip in the windscreen which was already there, luckily I took a video of the whole car , inwhich showed the chip , even though I took full insurance, but also know that I was there , he treated me badly , with the only reason for me hiring a car was because mine was having work done to it and my nana was in hospital, he should be retrained or put out the back not to be dealing directly with the public.

  Not so serious as they should be…::it’s a scam so guys pls don’t trust them at all ….before you hire think once before you hire

  Booked a Kia Sorento as needed the size and got given an MG zs as they apparently think this is the same size car and fobbed us off with changing it for something else. Clown outfit this lot . Won't use thrifty again.

  Two recent hire car experiences with thrifty have been spot on (one here at Ascot and one at Brisbane Airport). I often hire cars for work travel and thrifty have the same cars at lower prices plus I get the RACQ members discount, so really good value. Also no dramas at all to extend the hire period and final invoices were emailed to me within an hour on both occasions. Only minus is that they remove the users manuals from the cars which meant I had to use google to figure out how to turn the cruise control on... which took a while but we got there in the end! I know where I'll go next time I need a rental car!

  We returned the rental car according to schedule with full tank petrol at 10am on the day it was due, a staff member gave us the all clear once the car was checked in. Two weeks later I unintentionally discovered an unknown charge being deducted from my credit car by Thrifty Car Rental. I called them to find out what it was for, they then claimed their record shows we’ve returned the car at 4pm on that day. I challenged the validity of their claim and stated at no point in time was I informed of this additional charge or consented to it. Within a few hours they sent me an invoice (for the first time) with the falsified returned time on the invoice, justifying their underhanded business practice of behind your back extra fee charges and falsifying car return records. Warning, these people looks to scam you from your blind spots. Their business name would be more accurate as Shifty Car Rentals.

  Worst customer service, unprofessional staff.
  Renting a car from this site is a risk at best. The staff are unprofessional , lazy and disengaged. Completely lacking in any facet of basic customer service.
  
  Had an 11a.m booking that i was running late for (never been a problem at other sites). Called to be put on hold to no answer for over an hour, as clearly the staff had decided to call it a day 2 minutes after my car was due for collection. Ubered to the site, no one to be found, and called the customer service number to learn that they also had decided to give my booking away (a decision that must have been made to facilitate their early departure - one hour before their listed trading hours).
  
  Despite the fact that id booked a vehicle for the whole weekend and until Tuesday, none we available, even for pickup the following day.
  
  Pure rubbish.
  Cross your fingers if you're booking a car at this location, and don't expect a pleasant or personable experience.
  
  Would post minus stars if possible

  Front entry was blocked by some cars. However friendly staff. Thorough with inspection before the hire.

  Just an enquiry but fruitful. I can rent a good corolla for one day for $90, with $750 debit card deposit or $250 if credit card
  Many others have 4or5 day minimum
  Thrifty charge $262for 4 days, the longer you hire, the cheaper per day
  Easy walk from Doomden railway station
  Walk across the road after to rest and refresh at nice club. Young man at thrifty was smart and helpful.

  Plenty of hire places around.
  Avoid this one!
  The truck we hired was terrible to drive, gear changes like an explosion.
  Thrifty told me it was closed Sunday then charged an extra $110 for the closed day.
  Tried to charge another $79 for the 30minutes over return even though I waited 45 in the office.
  Still holding my $500 deposit 4 days later that they said was refunded at the time of return
  Good old fashioned dodgy Auto hire!
